english A collaboration between the Einstürzende Neubauten and the Japanese cult director Sogo Ishii (“Gyakufunsha kazoku,” etc.) occurred during the release of the album “Halber Mensch” in 1986. Ishii accompanied the band in Tokyo in the ’80s, where it thrilled not just hardcore industrial fans, but also masses of screeching teens. He filmed them in an empty factory building, at busy intersections and at concerts. Among other things, the legendary Japanese Butoh dancers can be seen in an interpretation of “Tanz das Z.N.S.” Documentation with live recordings is now available on DVD for the first time – a bonus CD includes the DVD’s newly mixed live recordings. This release on the Potomak label is the only DVD authorized by the band.
deutsch Anlässlich der Veröffentlichung des Albums "Halber Mensch" kam es 1986 zu einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Einstürzenden Neubauten und dem japanischen Kult-Regisseur Sogo Ishii (u.a. "Die Familie mit dem umgekehrten Düsenantrieb"). Ishii begleitete die Band in den 80er Jahren in Tokio, als sie dort nicht nur Hardcore-Industrial-Fans, sondern auch kreischende Teenie-Massen begeisterte. Er filmte sie in einer leeren Fabrikhalle, auf belebten Straßenkreuzungen und in Konzerthallen. Unter anderem sind dort die legendären japanischen Butoh-Tänzer in einer Interpretation von "Tanz das Z.N.S." zu sehen. Jetzt gibt es diese Dokumentation mit Live-Aufnahmen das erste Mal auf DVD - eine Bonus-CD enthält die neu gemischten Live-Aufnahmen der DVD. Diese Veröffentlichung auf Potomak ist die einzige von der Band autorisierte DVD.
